You’re invited to join St Catherine’s Hospice for their ‘oar-some’ Dragon Boat Festival.


St Catherine’s Hospice Dragon Boat Festival is taking place at Tilgate Park (on the side of the lake by Smith and Western restaurant) on Sunday 10th  September 2017.

Taking place from 10.00am – 8.00pm, this years festival has more than 30 corporate teams racing in Chinese Dragon Boats, including for the first time ever, a team of hospice nurses. There’s also plenty of on land family fun including: china smash, coconut shy, an inflatable pirate obstacle course and a surf simulator.


  • Corporate teams in fancy dress
  • An official opening by the Worshipful Mayor of Crawley Councillor Brian Quinn at 10.00am
  • A live music stage from 4.00pm – 8.00pm with local bands

Last year, more than 5,000 people attended.

Shuttle Bus Park and Ride:

This year, thanks to our friends at Metrobus and Crawley Town Football Club we have a NEW Shuttle Bus Park and Ride from Broadfield Stadium (Crawley Town Football Club) straight into the centre of Tilgate Park. Please see the timetable for timings.

Additional parking:

We also have an additional free car park on Gainsborough Road playing fields.
