Witnesses sought following a distraction burglary in Crawley


Police are appealing for witnesses after an elderly man became a victim of distraction burglary.

On Thursday (8th March) at around 1.30pm the 94-year-old victim answered the door to a man stating he needed to turn the water off in the flat.

After the man left, the victim discovered his wallet had been taken from his coat pocket and £200 in cash had been removed.

The suspect was described as white, in his 30s, clean shaven and he was wearing a denim jacket and a black cap.
