The students successfully completed a Customer Service day, identical to the one that new Virgin recruits follow. The morning was spent in groups with students identifying the principles of Customer Service based on Virgin’s ‘magic moments’ concept.
The group also had a tour of the rigs, and got an opportunity to try out the various aircraft classes (economy, premium economy and upper class) – a real eye-opener! The day concluded with a branding and marketing master class where students were able to see the importance of getting this right for a successful business. The students were all then given a certificate of achievement.
Level 3 student Maxine Brown, 21, from Hassocks, really enjoyed the day and said: “It was great to have had the opportunity to visit Virgin’s headquarters. Having a look behind the scenes has given me more ideas about other career paths that I didn’t know about before today.”
