Additional flights to Hurghada and Antalya for holidaymakers
TUI (formerly Thomson) the UK’s largest holiday brand, has today announced it has added extra weekly flights to the popular Red Sea destination of Hurghada and the Turkish hotspot of Antalya for summer 2018 operating out of Gatwick Airport.
Holidaymakers now have even more choice when it comes to booking a holiday to the sun, with TUI adding a new flight to the summer flying programme for both destinations. Flights start in May 2018 and will now operate to Hurghada three times a week and to Antalya six times a week.
The decision to add more flights is part of the holiday company’s plans to offer as much choice as possible, ensuring customers across the UK can fly from their local airport and stay at the best hotels such as the 5* TUI Magic Life Kalawy, Hurghada and the 5* TUI Sensatori Resort Sorgun, Antalya.
As well as the additional flights to Hurghada and Antalya passengers travelling from Gatwick now have a wider choice of destinations to choose from when booking their holidays this summer with new routes to Podgorica, Montengro and Varna, Bulgaria already on sale.
Karen Switzer, Director of Aviation Planning for TUI UK & Ireland, said: “We are delighted to be expanding our programme from Gatwick Airport for summer 2018. We have added more flights to both the Hurghada and Antalya meaning we now fly three times a week to the Red Sea and six times a week to the Turkish destination. These additional flights along with our new routes to Montenegro and Bulgaria add even more choice when deciding where to book your next summer holiday. In total we have 69 destinations for customers to choose from when booking their holidays from Gatwick Airport. Holidaymakers now have wider access than ever before to our diverse collection of destinations and hotel concepts.”
Stephen King, Head of Airline Relations Gatwick Airport said: “We are delighted with TUI’s additional route announcements adding capacity to yet more exciting destinations for our passengers.”
