A Crawley man has died after being involved in a town centre fight two weeks again.

22-year-old Thomas Kelly sadly died at a hospital in London on Friday afternoon (November 3rd). A post-mortem will take place this week to establish the cause of his death.

He had been in a car when he was involved in an altercation with groups of people in another two cars in Crawley at around 3.00am on Saturday morning (October 21st). After this initial verbal altercation it’s believed all three cars, two Suzukis and a grey or black BMW, drove into the High Street where several people got out of the cars and were involved in a fight outside Lloyds Barbers.

Detective Inspector Jon Robeson said: “Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this difficult time.

“We are continuing to investigate what happened in the early hours of October 21 and are still appealing to anyone who saw what happened to speak to us.”

A 21-year-old man and a 22-year-old man both from Crawley have been arrested on suspicion of GBH with intent, a 27-year-old man from Crawley has been arrested on suspicion of affray, a 23-year-old man from Redhill has been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage. They have all been released under investigation.
