High visibility patrols to continue in Sussex

Following an assessment by the Joint Terrorism Analysis Centre (JTAC), the Home Secretary has announced the UK threat level from international terrorism had been reduced from critical to severe.

Surrey and Sussex Police are continuing with high visibility reassurance patrols and the public are urged to remain vigilant at all times.

Residents can expect to see officers and armed officers at stations and other crowded places.

Anyone who sees any suspicious behaviour or activity is asked to call the Anti-Terrorist Hotline 0800 789 321 or in an emergency the public should always call 999.
