Crawley Borough Council is displaying plans, images and information and answering questions about Little Trees Cemetery before it opens next month.
Work began in October 2016 and the 12-acre site has been transformed into a modern cemetery by local contractor Hobart Paving.
And now the council is holding staffed drop-in sessions for residents, faith groups and funeral directors to show what the cemetery will look like and to answer any questions.
The staffed sessions will be held on:
- Tuesday 5th September, 3-7pm in the Civic Hall
- Thursday 7th September, 12 noon-4pm in the Town Hall foyer
- Tuesday 12th September, 12 noon-4pm in the Town Hall foyer
- Thursday 14th September, 4-7pm in the Civic Hall
In addition, the display will be in the Town Hall foyer from Wednesday 6th September until Wednesday 13th September for visitors to view.
Councillor Geraint Thomas, Cabinet member for Environment, said: “Little Trees Cemetery will be a tranquil and relaxing place for people to pay their respects to loved ones.
“These staffed sessions provide an opportunity for anyone interested in finding out more about the new cemetery to view the plans and ask questions.”
