Fundraise for Sport Relief
Get ready to swim yourself proud, because the Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Swimathon is back, from Friday 18th to Sunday 20th March 2016.
Sport Relief brings the entire nation together to get active, raise cash and change lives and we’re delighted to return as the official Swimathon charity partner for 2016.
As the UK’s biggest swimming event, you can take to the water at hundreds of venues and by raising (or donating) cash this Sport Relief, you’re helping to change lives forever. That’s because Comic Relief uses the money raised by the public to give extremely vulnerable and disadvantaged people a helping hand to turn their lives around. Half is used to make a difference, right here at home in the UK, with the other half used to transform lives across the world’s poorest communities.
And even small amounts can make a huge difference. Just £15 could provide an entire year’s worth of school lunches for a child in Uganda, and here in the UK, £50 could pay for a disadvantaged young person to go on a sports coaching course, giving them the skills they need to find work.
So, good luck and thank you in advance to all you brilliant swimmers who are going to go to such great lengths to help change lives.
Sport Relief is an initiative of Comic Relief, registered charity 326568 (England/Wales); SC039730 (Scotland).
