Two hours’ free internet access in all libraries

free wifi

From April 1st, 2015 all West Sussex library customers will be able to access the internet for free for two hours – on top of the free Wi-Fi available for customers with their own devices.

The free internet access will be available in all 36 West Sussex libraries. All you need to access it is to be a member of your local library – which is also FREE.

All residents have to do is pop along to their local library and sign up or join online

They can then use their membership number to access their free two hours on the internet.

David Barling, West Sussex County Council’s Cabinet Member for residents’ services with responsibility for libraries, said: “In today’s modern age bringing free internet access to our libraries to complement the existing Wi-Fi adds another essential service for our customers – unlocking even more information for study or leisure purposes.”

More than three million visits are made to the county’s 36 libraries every single year.

West Sussex Libraries are all open 6 days a week, totalling 1,415 hours a week, with late night and Sunday opening at Midhurst Library in the Grange Leisure Centre.

More than 370,000 people are members of the library service.

Come along to play Chess, Scrabble & other games, with amateurs who play for Fun.

Meet on the first floor & maybe go for a coffee afterwards

Every Monday @ 11.00am
