‘‘Has the easy charm of an arena comic and the high joke rate, too’’ (Guardian)

Fandan, the third, brand new hour of stand up from Amused Moose Comedy Award winner and Foster’s Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee Larry Dean, will tour the UK in 2018.

Hear Larry’s thoroughly unique take on subjects such as ‘pray the gay away’ camps, body dysmorphia and long-distance relationships, these topics spun expertly into an unlikely tale of a lunch date with a pair of murderers, a meeting that begins to make him rethink his own attitudes towards people. Join one of UK comedy’s brightest talents for this bold, brilliant, “unexpected and excellent” (Sunday Times) new show about acceptance and understanding.

Fandan enjoyed a sold-out run at the 2017 Edinburgh Fringe and was one of the British Comedy Guide’s Top 10 Best Reviewed Shows this year. Larry will also perform the show at Christchurch Buskers Festival and Perth Fringeworld in the new year ahead of his UK tour in March, and then thereafter at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival.

Larry Dean is an award-winning comedian and writer. He was crowned Scottish Comedian Of The Year when he was 23, and since then his star gas continued to rise. His 2015 debut Edinburgh Fringe show Out Now! received both widespread critical acclaim and a nomination for the Foster’s Comedy Award for Best Newcomer. After its success in Edinburgh, January 2016 saw Larry bring the show to London for a run of packed-out performances at the Soho Theatre. He then went on to the Melbourne International Comedy Festival where he was one of the standout performers on the Allstars Supershow Opening Night Gala.

Larry returned to Edinburgh in 2016 with his eagerly awaited new show Farcissist, for which he won the Amused Moose Comedy Award for Best Show. He subsequently took the show on a UK-wide tour and a run at the 2017 Melbourne Comedy Festival.

2017 saw Larry Dean make his debut appearance on BBC1’s Live at the Apollo. His previous TV stand-up appearances include BBC2’s BBC Presents: Best of the Edinburgh Festival and Live From the Comedy Store for Comedy Central UK.
