The Three Bridges Under 14 Saturday Youth team has completed all fixtures in Division “A” of the Horsham & D.Y. FL.

Reports for Games played on Sunday 2nd April 2017.

The Three Bridges Under 16 team secured another victory in the “Super” Division of the Surrey Youth FL and move ever closer to the division championship. Ashtead Colts Wanderers scored early going a goal up inside five minutes. Luke Scott scored a goal from a corner after 18 minutes to equalise. The first half saw neither team create an awful lot of chances and it finished 1-1. The second half had Three Bridges show a little more urgency and Bradley Campbell-Francis put the home side 2-1 ahead on 57 minutes. Bradley Campbell-Francis scored a few minutes later with a low shot into the bottom corner to increase the lead. Luke Scott could have added a fourth on 67 minutes but the goalkeeper pulled off a terrific save from close range. Erik Kazo was named as the “Player of the Match”.

Third placed Doverhouse Lions Blues were the opponents for fourth placed Three Bridges Under 15 Colts team and the game ended in a 3-3 draw in the “Super” Division of the Surrey Youth FL. After a slow start from Three Bridges, Doverhouse Lions went 1-0 ahead leaving Three Bridges now chasing the game but were no match for a strong, physical hardworking team. This later paid of for Doverhouse Lions as they managed to beat the offside trap and hit the back of the Three Bridges net, not once but twice more before the half time break. 3-0 to Doverhouse Lions.
Some reflection on the Three Bridges performance at half time, saw a whole new side grace the pitch in the second half. A goal from Harry New, brought Three Bridges back into the game, opening the game up for both sides. Three Bridges began to compete, playing with passion and flare, unsettling the Doverhouse Lions side. They where later rewarded for their hard work and determination when Harry New was awarded a penalty. Donnachadh Street slotted it home to make the game 3-2 leaving everything to play for in the final 15-20 minutes. With everything to lose, Three Bridges continued their battle to gain something from the game and in the dying minutes saw bundles of opportunity for both sides to nick late goals. However, Three Bridges persevered and proved it was all worth while as Donnachadh Street floated in a terrific ball to the back post that met, Henry Lester, the Three Bridges goalkeeper who rippled the back of the net and salvage a huge point for the Three Bridges boys as they continue their race for the league.
The boys showed great character and discipline on and off of the football pitch, proving a credit to both the club and themselves.

The Three Bridges Under 15 Youth team has completed all fixtures in Division “Two” of the Sussex Sunday Y. FL.

Third placed Three Bridges Under 14 team had another tough game and drew 3-3 with fourth placed Hove Rivervale in Division “One” of the Sussex Sunday Y. FL. The goals were shared between Camron Lawson, Theo Likaj and Benjamin Teasdale.

A “Double Header” for the Three Bridges Under 13 team against Haywards Heath Colts in Division “Two” of the Mid Sussex Y & M. FL saw a total of seven goals scored by Haywards Heath Colts without reply. The first game ended with a 3-0 score-line and the second game ended with a 4-0 score-line. As the divisions are small, the teams will be selectively playing each other three times.

The Three Bridges Under 12 team had no game arranged in Division “Two” of the Mid Sussex Y & M. FL. As the divisions are small, the teams will be selectively playing each other three times.
