The Hawth – Reviews
**********
On the 24th of November Ed Byrne was at the Hawth Crawley entertaining a packed out arena. He ventured into many categories whether it was exploring situations or subjects Ed finds frustratingly or maddening, ‘Crowd Pleaser’ was a hilarious insight into Ed’s life, whether talking about his cat, cake, religion or potential fatherhood.
Ed certainly delivered laughs in abundance. Throughout the show he would also interact with people in the audience, whether that would be people talking about the celebrities they had met who were completely opposite to what they thought they were or someone who dared to shout out a comment. Ed would just turn around and start having a conversation with them. For example, some one shouted “have my babies”, so Ed replied “sure I’ll have them. I enjoy collecting them. How did you know”. This was rather amusing. He was very good with his stage presence, using the whole stage. He also added a lot about being a nerd, telling us how nerdy he was. Ed said “do you want to hear something really nerdy, my name is an anagram of nerdy”. We very much enjoyed the show and would watch it again and recommend it to our friends. 9/10 for performance, entertainment and pure enjoyment.
