K2 Crawley’s gym gets £300,000 refurbishment in time for New Year
From 16th December until 24th December the gym facilities at K2 Crawley will be closed for a £300,000 refurbishment. The improvements to the gym facilities at the centre are being jointly funded by Freedom Leisure and Crawley Borough Council and will provide both experienced gym enthusiasts and new exercisers with a fantastic range of kit and a fresh and energising space to exercise in.
The refurbished K2 Crawley gym will include new weights and cardio vascular equipment. Brand new to the centre are the extremely popular Power Plates, used by celebrities and sports professionals alike to provide a different and very effective work out. The exciting addition of a new Spin studio and bikes, will offer more places in the extremely popular Spin class and with whole area receiving a full makeover customers should notice a more revitalised and inviting atmosphere; all in time for the New Year.
Chris Lovelock, Centre Manager at K2 Crawley said, ‘This refurbishment to the facilities at K2 Crawley will be a massive boost for our customers and the Freedom Leisure team. With the huge investment being made by Freedom Leisure and Crawley Borough Council the gym will look and feel brand new. The new equipment and the better use of space will help motivate customers and we hope to help more people become fitter and healthier in the New Year.’
Councillor Lenny Walker, Cabinet member for Leisure and Culture Services, said: “K2 Crawley has recently celebrated its fifth birthday and in that time it has become more and more popular. This investment in new gym equipment will ensure even more people can use the fantastic facilities at the leisure centre and is another example of how partnership working can deliver better services for taxpayers.”
To reduce the inconvenience caused by the facilities being closed, Freedom Leisure is inviting K2 Crawley customers to use their memberships at any of three Mid Sussex centres, The Triangle in Burgess Hill, The Dolphin in Haywards Heath and Kings Centre in East Grinstead. They look forward to welcoming K2 Crawley customers.
K2 Crawley would also like to advise customers that the Main Hall at the facilities will be closed from 20 December and will reopen on 23 December due to maintenance work that is required to improve the flooring within the hall.
