Explore Crawley’s Community groups Inside Out

A massive range of Crawley’s community groups will be showcasing their talents at a colourful event in the town centre on Sunday 13th June.

The Inside Out Festival will see more than 50 groups from across the town proudly demonstrating their skills to shoppers and visitors in Queens Square and the Memorial Gardens.

Organised by Crawley Borough Council, the event will give visitors a chance to see what goes on in community centres and other council owned buildings and offers the chance to join a new group and explore a hobby.

Lenny Walker, cabinet member for Leisure and Community Services, said: “Last year’s festival was a big success and this year is set to be even bigger and better.

“The festival is a great opportunity for people to see the huge variety of groups in Crawley and it’s a fantastic show of the community spirit which is so apparent across the whole town.”

An arena in Queens Square will see performances from local dance and music groups like Euphoric Dance Company, F.A.M.E (Forest Amateur Musical Entertainers), Crawley Millennium Concert Band and Hipsinc belly dance.

And, a second arena in Memorial Gardens will showcase the sporting talents of groups like Shin Ichi Do, Crawley Tae-kwon-do Club, Boxfit Academy and Evolutionary Martial Systems.

Many other community and interest groups will also have their own stalls on the day.

The Inside Out Festival kicks off on Sunday June 13 at 10am to 4pm. For more information contact Beverly Loxston on 01293 438927 or email Beverly.loxston@crawley.gov.uk
